      Álvaro Muñiz and Antonio Solórzano, with the Abarth 124 rally, still have a chance to win the championship despite having withdrawn from the Santander Cantabria Rally.
      [*]The first of the two races left will be held this weekend on the mountains of Alicante.


      The Spanish SMC Junior Motorsport Team will be competing in the Rally de La Nucia with weekend, the second to last event of the Spanish Tarmac Rally Championship, with the Abarth 124 rally of Álvaro Muñiz and Antonio Solórzano.
      The Spanish crew is in the running to win the 2WD title despite having withdrawn from the previous race. Bad weather with rain and fog during the Santander Cantabria Rally caused the crew to crash.
      During the last two races of the championship, the drivers of the SMC Junior Motorsport Team will be called to repeat the good results which led them to win three times in the Adeje, Ferrol and Villa de Llanes rallies.
      The Rally de la Nucia consists of a single, tough leg and will be held on Saturday, November 4. After the starting ceremony with presentation of the crews this evening (Friday, November 3) at 8 o'clock p.m. in Alicante, the crews will be taking on seven special stages for a total of 160 timed kilometres tomorrow. They will start at 7.30 a.m. and end at 8.30 p.m.
