- The Abarth 124 rally of the SMC Junior Motorsport team repeated last year's success, reasserting its leadership of the Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship (Campeonato de España de Rallies de Asfalto, CERA).
- The four wins scored by Alberto Monarri and Alberto Chamorro in both events secured their second title before the end of the competition.
- Abarth Spain continues to support the main objectives of the sports project and will be backing the SMC Junior Motorsport team at the upcoming Community of Madrid Rally on 22-23 November.
Alberto Monarri and co-driver Alberto Chamorro had an impeccable track record in the powerful Abarth 124 rally this season. Backed by the SMC Junior Motorsport team sponsored by Afrasa, they were virtually unbeatable on all terrains and in all conditions, garnering four resounding victories in all categories of the Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship (CERA) in which the fireball made in Turin competed.
By capitalising on the team's expertise and efficiency, the superior performance of the Abarth 124 rally made them the clear winners in the rallies of Gran Canaria (where they also won the first appointment of the Abarth Rally Cup), in Ourense, Princess of Asturias and Villa de Llanes, winning both titles by points with one race to go and sufficient lead to take the Spanish Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) and GT titles.
The team will attempt another major success in the upcoming Community of Madrid Rally on 22-23 November, which is the final event on the Abarth 124 Rally Spanish Asphalt Rally Championship calendar, where the team led by Abarth Spain will do its best to top off this already thrilling season with a further win.
